Somerville – Joseph Blackwell Bond, 88, retired 30-year Ford dealer, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital of Somerville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Peebles Fayette Funeral Home with burial in Somerville City Cemetery. He was a member of Somerville First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, past president of Lions Club, chairman of Fayette Country Red Cross for more than 30 years and a Navy veteran. Bond, the husband of Gwendolyn Ellis Bond, also leaves a son, Edwin Bond of Vero Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bond Cleaves and Mrs. Mazie Bond Kreuter, both of Memphis, and two grandchildren.
