CHARLES KEEGAN

Born in Concord, New Hampshire, June 23, 1926, Charles Keegan came to Woburn a few years ago with his family. He was graduated from the Woburn High School and was a member of the Woburn Auxiliary Fire Department. In September, 1943, he entered the U.S. Coast Guard. While aboard an L.S.T. [Landing Ship, Tank] he was stricken with appendicitis, and since no doctor was available, he was operated upon by a Pharmacist's Mate. The operation was unsuccessful and he died. Keegan is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keegan, a sister, Mary, and a brother, Thomas.
