Mr. Prichard attended Mississippi State University, where he played football. He graduated from Bowling Green Business College. After marrying, he returned to Meadville. He owned a Chevrolet dealership from 1955-1965, before deciding to farm full-time, raising dairy cows and Appaloosa horses, as well as cotton, soybeans and corn. He was a lifelong member of Meadville Presbyterian Church, where he also was a deacon and treasurer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Mitchell Prichard; and his parents, Robert Prichard and Ludie King Prichard.

He was survived by two daughters, Tanya Prichard Groves and husband Floyd of Lakeland, TN, and Janna Prichard Whitehead and husband John of Destin, FL; 4 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren.
