Mrs. Young died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Medicalodge in Leavenworth.
She was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Edwin and Ester Fulton Pence. She had lived in Jefferson County, Denver and Leavenworth.
Mrs. Young was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Leavenworth and later became a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Lansing. She had been an active member of the Leavenworth County Foster Parents Association.
She married Lewis E. "Flupe" Reynolds on Nov. 23, 1950. He died Sept. 16, 1977. She married Art Young on June 13, 1981 in Leavenworth. He survives, of the home.
Survivors include six sons, Greg Young, Bloomfield, Colo., Mike Young, Leavenworth, Dan Young, Olathe, Ken Reynolds, Monument, Colo., Tom Reynolds, Gladstone, Mo., and John Reynolds, Denver; three daughters, Karen Dupont, Denver, and Debby Perak, Dallas, and JoAnn Verhaeghe, Overland Park; two brothers, Charles Pence, Winchester, and Richard Pence, The Villages, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren.
Mrs. Young was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margee Lou, and a granddaughter.
