Ann "Annie" M. Matuszak, 66, of Seymour, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.

She was born in Two Rivers on December 11, 1955, to LeRoy and Catherine (LaFond) Bruce. Annie grew up in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1974. In 2002, she was united in marriage to Brian Matuszak in Alberta, Canada.

Together, Brian and Annie enjoyed tent camping and bon fires. They would participate in many theme nights at the campground including Annie's favorite, Halloween. They also liked to take spontaneous road trip adventures to different festivals and events. Annie enjoyed crafting, and collecting Santa Claus figurines and owls. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and the time spent with family and friends. Volunteering was important to her as well and she helped with many charity events and golf outings. Annie also made many raffle baskets over the years to help with fundraising. She was a board member for 10 years for Home of the Hamburger in Seymour. Currently Annie was employed by Dairy Queen working as a cake decorator, while building strong relationships with the customers.

Survivors include her husband, Brian; children, Robert (Sarah) Peterik, Nichole (Jason) Zeddies, Michael Peterik (friend, Kelly), and Marissa (Draven) Matuszak-Cornelius; grandchildren, Dawson, Caden, Abigail, Delaney, Bennett, and Landyn; mother, Catherine Bruce; brothers, Michael (Melissa) Bruce of Fort Meyers, Florida, Mark Bruce of Two Rivers, and Terry (Cissy) Bruce of Whitelaw; sister, Julia (Howie) Jansen of Manitowoc; godchildren and nieces, Tara Walters and Sarah Torres; nephews, Jaret Jansen and Erick Jansen; aunts and uncles, Karen Blashka, Shelley (John) Keil, and Jerry (Molly) LaFond; father-in-law, Norbert Matuszak; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael (Barb) Heuser, Gary (Audrey) Matuszak, Greg (Jill) Matuszak, Kevin Matuszak, Lisa (Mark) Madison, Tammy Matuszak, and Perry Matuszak; childhood friend, Patrice (Tece) Weisner; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Bruce; mother-in-law, Marlene Matuszak; paternal grandparents, Donald and Susan Bruce; maternal grandparents, Urban and Julia LaFond; and aunts and uncles, Jerry (Judy) Bruce, Bonnie Bruce, Fritz Blashka, William LaFond, and Howard LaFond.

The funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Ben Johnson. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Cremation will take place at a later date at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the urn in Evergreen Cemetery.
