CARL SMOGOLESKI

Carl J. Smogoleski, 75, of 1814 Emmet Street, Two Rivers, died Saturday, August 3, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Donald Marquardt will officiate with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Smogoleski was born August 19, 1909, at Manistee, Michigan, son of the late John and Angeline Kotarek Smogoleski. He married Josephine Januskiewich on June 29, 1934, at Menominee, Michigan. Mr. Smogoleski was a master plumber and for many years operated his own business. Mr. Smogoleski was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 298 and the Two Rivers Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet Plansky of Two Rivers and Marlene and Sheridan O'Rourk of Two Rivers; five brothers and five sisters-in-law, Edwin Smogoleski of Milwaukee, Chester and Rose Smogoleski of Menasha, Frank and Carol Smogoleski of Two Rivers, Stanley and Mary Smogoleski of Two Rivers, Ervin and Doris Smogoleski of Two Rivers and Mrs. Gertrude Smogoleski of Milwaukee; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Lena Kubiszewski of Manistee, Michigan and Genevieve and Evan Kriesa of Two Rivers and three grandchildren also survived. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock this Monday evening. A parish memorial service will be held at 7 o'clock this evening at the funeral home.
