Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 at the age of 91. John was born in Alma, MI on July 4, 1930, the son of Dale and Ann (Bristol) Beck. John served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, was a proud graduate of Michigan State University, and retired from the State of Michigan. He was a life member of the Free & Accepted Masons and was a gentleman farmer. John enjoyed photography, woodworking, and traveling the world which included visiting all 7 continents.
John is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Witten); sons Eric (Lea) Beck and Kurt (Laura) Beck; 5 grandchildren: Kristen, Bradley, Tyler, Dylan, and Jack; brother Benson "Pete" (Ellen) Beck. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kermit Beck and daughter-in-law Tracy Beck.
A funeral service with Military Honors will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge with internment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
