Muston
Services for Frank Andrew Muston, 82, of Rockdale will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Dr. Jimmy Ray Muston officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mr. Muston died Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Manor Oaks Nursing Home.
A lifelong Rockdale resident, he was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Lee County to Marion Frank and Rosa Elizabeth (Morrison) Muston.
He married Evelyn Virginia Catchings on Nov. 23, 1946, in Rockdale.
Mr. Muston was a U.S. Marine veteran and worked at Alcoa's Rockdale Operations in the potrooms for 35 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1998.
He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved to play dominoes.
Mr. Muston was a former member of Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department and was a union steward at Alcoa.
He was a lifetime member of Rockdale VFW Post No. 6525.
Mr. Muston was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Ottis, Amon, Faddie, Claudie, Irvin and Lee.
Survivors are his wife, Evelyn Virginia Muston of Rockdale; two sons, Billy W. Muston of Belton and James E. Muston and wife Sherry of Paris; four daughters, Linda Troutman and husband Scott of Whitehouse, Sue Schich and husband Mike of Morse, Nora Sartwell and husband Mike of Melborn, Florida, Donna Stewart and husband Danny of Rockdale; also, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
