Donald P. Pallies age 93, of Hurffville passed away at home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. He was born in Atlantic City to the late William McKinley Pallies and Nancy (Grennan). Don lived in Wenonah and at the Sewell Railroad Station in Mantua Twp. He was a lifeguard at Wenonah Lake for 25 years. When Don was living at the railroad station, he was the original Mantua Twp. Police Department. Don was given a gun and paid $10 a month to keep the peace. He retired from Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Line where he was a Station Agent. In his spare time Don enjoyed making stained glass, reading, going to Ott's in Washington Twp. to get flat bread pizza, following the stock market, and attempting to use Facebook to keep up with his family and friends.

Husband of the late Margaret M. (McCarthy), he is survived by his children, Noreen Watson and her husband Bob, Don Pallies and his wife Karen, Jeff Pallies and his wife Lauren, Tim Pallies and his wife Lana and Kate Pallies, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Sheila Pallies. Don was also predeceased by his son, Christopher Pallies, and two brothers, William and his wife Patricia, and Joseph.

Family and Friends may visit from 10 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, December 21st, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am.
