Willie was the last of eight children of Maria Alida Dufour (1878-1913) and Arthur Coco (b. 12 Feb 1877). His mother died during or shortly after the childbirth; his father did not remarry. In 1920, Willie lived on the farm of Leonard and Alicia Deselles in Borodino. About 1935, he married Laura May Juneau (1915-2004) and in 1940 the couple had one Ronald, age four. They were cotton farmers. They would subsequently have two daughters, Peggy and Gloria.
