Born October 11, 1897 in Tennessee, to William Robert and Alice Marguerite (House) McCaslin. Mr. McCaslin moved to Texas as a small child with his family. He lived in the Mart, Hallsburg, and Waco areas the rest of his life. He married Bertha Louise Wright on May 13, 1919 in Falls County,and they were blessed with two daughters, Mabel Marguerite on March 31,1920 and Edna Frances on Sept. 3, 1923. He was a farmer most of his life, becoming a security guard after his retirement from farming, when the family moved into the Waco area. Mr. McCaslin was in the downtown Waco area and survived the 1953 Waco tornado. He was a loved father, son, brother, husband and grandfather. He was a devout Christian most of his life and loved to share his love of the Lord Jesus with everyone he knew. He was called home by our Lord after a lengthy illness, at age 91. He is loved and missed.
