Millie Sue Mounts Vance, age 86 of Caney, KY passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 after an extended illness. She was born March 19, 1935, to George D. Mounts and Victoria Mounts Davidson. Sue was united in marriage to Jimmie Lee Vance for 68 years raising six children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed reading, music, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a Christian and attended Faith Baptist Church of Caney, KY and Salem Christian Church of Grassy Creek, KY.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, George D. Mounts and Victoria Mounts Davidson; four sisters Faye Perkins, Jackie Osborne, Opal Johnston, Alma Hammond; two brothers George D. Mounts, Jr. and Clayton Combs.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie L. Vance; two sons, Sonnie (Suzanne) Vance of West Liberty, KY Keith (Leah) Vance of Mt. Sterling, KY; four daughters, Shirley (William) Price of West Bend, WI, Kim (Bufford) Litteral of West Liberty, KY, Kellie (Steve) Haney of Lexington, KY, Ericka Holbrook of Winchester, KY, and a very special friend, Glinna Stamper. Nine grandchildren, Kendall (Allie) Vance, Leahshea Vance, Jenessa (Adam) Pistiner, Alex Price, Kristin (Adam) Lawson, Colby (Nicole) Haney, Kaitlin (James) Frazier, Brian Vance, Adam (Mystri) Vance and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be 11:00am, Tuesday, March 8,2022 in the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Danny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vance Fork Cemetery, Vance Fork, KY. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Private visitation family only. Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
