Elroy was born December 22nd 1953 in Salt Lake City Utah to Elroy Taylor Barlow Sr. and Jeannine Hansen. He was raised in Salt Lake City and Murray Utah. Some of Elroy's fondest memories were growing up with his three younger brothers and four younger sisters. Being the big brother, all his siblings looked up to him literally and figuratively. From childhood Elroy was always working. He surprised his parents by taking apart appliances in his home from a young age, before he knew how to put things back together. As he grew, he loved playing in the fields around his home, riding horses, playing with the families little black cocker spaniel and treasured his childhood. As he became an adult, he gained particular skills in autobody and mechanics. He was known for helping people fix their vehicles even if they were not able to pay for the service. He simply found happiness in helping others. He was usually the first person the family would call if their car wouldn't run or if they were stranded. He had particular skill in engine diagnostics throughout his life.
At 34 years of age Elroy found and married the love of his life, Margie Ruth Emery on July 30th 1988. On December 16th 1992 Elroy and Margie were sealed in the Lake City Temple. Elroy loved his kids and grandkids and it was always a joy to him when they would visit or share photos.
Elroy is survived by his wife Margie his 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
