During Alonzo's freshman year, he was a member of the MHS-JROTC. After graduating from Maryvale High School ('83) - Phoenix, AZ., Alonzo joined the Marine Corps where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served his country for approximately 9 years and was assigned to Embassy Duty. After leaving the Marines, Alonzo joined the Phoenix Police Department and served the citizens of South Phoenix for 10 years. He left the police department to pursue a career in the private sector.
He was a warrior and a friend who will be missed by many.
