Mrs. Lois P. Alford, 63, Glencoe Rt. 9, died Monday in a local hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services were to be today at 3 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Owens officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Survivors: son, William M. Alford, Springville; mother, Mrs. Sara Orene Martin, Glencoe; brother, William A. Harrell, Pell City; grandchildren, Tina and Michael Alford Jr., Springville; six nieces.
Active pallbearers: Charles F. Summerall, Gary Miller, Jerry Johnson, Mark Gregerson, Charles R. Jenkins, Sam Lowery, Robert Valentine. Honorary pallbearers: Kim Bishop, all employees of Warehouse Groceries and all personal friends.
Mrs. Alford was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was employed as a cashier at Warehouse Groceries for 15 years
