SPRINGFIELD — Vergie Florence Linde of Springfield, formerly of Elmira, died Dec. 18 of congestive heart failure at age 94. A private service will be later.
She was born April 6, 1913, in Chicahominy, Ore., to James and Vivien Aldous Nichols. She married George Linde on July 5, 1931, in Eugene.
She was educated through the eighth grade and attended Springfield schools and the Globe school. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a sister, Leona Wedekind of Springfield. Her husband and two sons, Albert and Leslie, died previously.
Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery. Arrangements by Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Remembrances to the Elmira Grange.
