Norma Jean Stevens Wallace, age 92, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Memphis, TN to Alice Eugenia Newton and Earl Thames Stevens and grew up in the Mississippi Delta city of Webb, MS. She was a member of Handsboro Baptist Church and was an avid cook who was known for her brownies and fried chicken. She was a golfer at the Broadwater in her early years and worked at Godchaux's. She was quick to laugh, loved a good joke, and will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ollie Leon Wallace, Jr., and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Fay Wallace Bates (Ronnie), Beverly Gay Wallace Smith, and Ollie Leon Wallace, III; grandchildren, Kirk Smith (Mickie), Natalie Smith (Garrett), Beverly Bates Britt (Erik), Betsy Bates Phillips (Andy), Steve Wallace (Kristin), and Ben Wallace (Anna); great grandchildren, Ty Smith, Cole Smith, Haley Smith, Luke Smith, Grace Hartwell Smith, Hudson Edward Wallace, Hannah Britt, Abigail Britt, Maggie Phillips, Ben Phillips, Annie Phillips, Bates Phillips, and Webb Phillips.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi, from 2:00-3:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm and burial will be at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday will be private.

The family would like to thank her loving companion, Harvey Varnado and Kaye Adams for their loving care.
