Barbara Ann "Nanny" Hunt, age 72, of Cosby, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the UT Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hunt, sons, Dennis Hunt, and Leon Hunt, Jr., parents, James and Estelle Gunter, brothers, JC Gunter, YJ Gunter, David Gunter, Charles Gunter and Larry Gunter, sister, Sue Hall, sisters-in-law, Ruby Gunter, and Jettie Gunter, brother-in-law, Cash Rollins.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, of 34 years, Kris Hunt, granddaughters, Mindy (John) Ervin, Amy Hunt, and Mikayla Hunt, great-granddaughters, Pailee and Journey Hunt, brother, Terry (Debra) Gunter, sisters, Gail Gunter Black, Phyllis (Cecil) Whitson, and Carolyn Rollins, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Gunter, brother-in-law, John Hall, best friend, Marilyn McCarter, also several other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Amedisys Home Health and Hospice and UT Medical Center.

Burial will follow in the Austin Jenkins Cemetery.
