Eva was born at Steninge Castle in Sigtuna within Stockholm County, Sweden. She was the daughter of Albert and Maria Lindström. Her first marriage was in 1925 to Olof 'Olle' Dickson. In 1936 she married Bror von Blixen-Finecke in New York City, New York, USA and was still married to him when she died in an automobile accident in Baghdad, Iraq. Her remains were returned to Sweden for burial. She was interred on 03 February 1939 under the name of Eva Amalia Maria Dickson.
