Mary was the daughter of George J. Perry and Sarah Murphy. She married Henry Boerner on March 10, 1886. They were the parents of Blanche, John, Sadie, Roy, Grace, Jessie, and Edna Boerner (Anderson).

OBITUARY - The Odebolt Chronicle - April 25, 1935 page 1 - Odebolt relatives were advised last week of the death of Mrs Henry Boerner of Winner, SD, who passed away at her home Sunday April 14, after an illness of several years. She suffered several strokes and for two years had been unable to speak, making her wants known by writing. She was entirely helpless except for the use of one hand.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Winner on Tuesday afternoon and the body taken to Randolph, NE where a second service was held on Thursday afternoon also at the Methodist church. She was laid to rest in the cemetery there by the side of her son, Johnny, who died several years ago at the age of 21 years.

Mary E Perry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio Sept 12, 1866 and at her death was 68 years, 7 months, and 2 days old. She came with her parents to Sac county when a small child and was reared in Wheeler township, receiving her education in the rural schools and in a normal school. She taught in rural schools a few years and on March 10, 1886 was united in marriage at Odebolt with Mr Boerner.

After a few years in this vicinity they moved to Randolph, NE residing there until about 19 years ago when they moved to Winner, SD which has since been the home.

She was a devoted wife and mother and will be truly mourned by her husband, 5 daughters and one son, namely: Blanche Hosford, Sadie Haugarth, Grace Miller and Jessie Achens of Winner, SD; Edna Anderson of Sioux Falls, SD; and Roy of Bartlett, Iowa. All were present at the services at both Winner and Randolph except the son, who was only at the latter service.

She also leaves 5 brothers, one of whom is Wilbur Perry of Lake View. One brother Frank Perry and wife of St Louis were at Randolph service.
