Kathleen Frances Vaughan of Clarksville, VA, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the age of 95. Born in Henderson, NC, on August 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Rosa Lee Doggett Vaughan.

Frances, as she was known by most, was a 1943 graduate of Clarksville High School and continued her education at Perry Business School. She began work in 1945 at Clarksville Furniture as an office manager. In 1965, she became a co-owner of the furniture company as well as shared ownership with her partners there in Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. In 1982, she got out of the funeral home business, but she remained a staple at the furniture company until her health prevented her from being there. Frances loved to travel. She was a member of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church.

Frances is survived by cousins, Patricia C. Huff of Clarksville and Carolyn C. Blackburn of Monument, CO as well as additional family members, Sterlin Huff, Crystal Huff, Tara DiGiacomo, Zachary Williams, Brittany Malone, Michael Huff, Michele Hesler and Sirena DiGiacomo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Vaughan Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend John Bright officiating. The family will receive friends at all other times at 334 Trottinridge Rd. Clarksville, VA 23927. In lieu of flowers, Frances asked that donations be made to Lake Country SPCA, Jamieson United Methodist Church, and Ephesus United Methodist Church.
