Leo E. Glinskie, 85, of Altoona, was reunited with his loving wife, Shirley, when he went home to be with the Lord on Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Amelia Glinskie.
Surviving are his son, Mark E. Glinskie; and two daughters, Cheryl Buchan- an and Kelly Stehley.
Leo loved gardening, building model airplanes and anything to do with aviation. He was an avid reader.
He was a very talented bus driver for Amtran and competed in bus rodeo competitions, which he won several times.
Leo had an unwavering devotion to God and was
a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church and served as a deacon there. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.
He was proud to have served in the Marines and always said, "There is no such thing as a former Marine."
A memorial service for Leo will be held at
10:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at The Good Funer- al Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, with Pastor William Ice officiating.
Interment with military honors will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
