PETERSBURG - Lorene Minor, 88, of Petersburg died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at St. John's Hospital.

Mrs. Minor was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Springfield, to William and Margret Hurley Woodrum. She married Arthur Minor on Aug. 16, 1947.

Mrs. Minor was a homemaker for many years. She attended Rock Creek Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Sherry) Minor of Petersburg; two daughters, Linda (Tim) Impson and Judy (Dennis) Knoles, both of Petersburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Woodrum of Sun City, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a sister; seven brothers; and a grandson, Brad Bradley.

Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. The Rev. Glenn McMurl will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Menard County Rescue Squad and the Sunny Acres Hospice Unit.

Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg is handling arrangements.
