Las Cruces - On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and dear friend CANAAN JACE BOWER, age 18, lifelong resident of Las Cruces, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father. He was born July 7, 2003 to Troy and Kara Garrett Bower. Canaan was a "GENTLE GIANT" that loved giving hugs, had a heart of gold, and just loved life itself. His smile, laughter, personality, sense of humor and willingness to help others will never be forgotten.

Those left to mourn his passing include his parents; Troy and Kara; brother, Branson Bower; maternal grandparents, Mary and Jerry Garrett; paternal grandparents, George and Shirley Bower; aunts and uncles, Laurel and George Cutting, James and Michelle Garrett and Jennifer and Ryan Burkett; six cousins, Shaina, Hannah, Brianna, Justin (Alex), Jacob and Timberlee.

The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 9:30 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 4201 N. Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, with Senior Pastor David Burrows officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue.

Serving as casket bearers will be Ryan Burkett, James and Justin Garrett, Antonio Lopez, Caleb Longwell and Ross Alberson. Honorary bearers will be George Cutting and Branson Bower.
