Obituary of Scott Armstrong

IN THE CARE OF
Bill Merritt Funeral Service
Harvey "Scott" Armstrong, 65, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022. Scott was born January 7, 1957 to Gordon William and Janis Carol (Prickett) Armstrong in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Scott was lifelong resident of Oklahoma. He worked as an Item Processor Coordinator for Jack Henry & Associates, Inc.®. Throughout his illustrious career in banking Scott was employed at Coppermark Bank, IBC Bank, Federal Reserve Bank, and Allied Oklahoma Bank. He was a scholar with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and continued his education throughout his life. Scott was an avid reader and collector of classical and historical literature from around the world. He pursued an online nursing degree through OSU while selflessly providing fulltime care for his father. Scott was gifted artistically; he enjoyed creative writing, composing and playing music. He cared deeply for others and was a loving, caring son, brother and friend. Scott is survived by his sister, Susan Hamblin, special friend Renee Armstrong, several nephews and a niece. Those of us who remain will continue to mourn our loss of Scott's knowledge and amazing wit. We stand confident in our belief as given in 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." that as Believers in Christ Jesus, we will see Scott again in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Steven Armstrong.

Cremation has taken place. Private Graveside services will be held at a future date.

Memorials may be made to Library Endowment Trust to support the Metropolitan Library System in Oklahoma City at https://occf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create?funit_id=2780 or to Lymphoma Research Foundation at https://lymphoma.org/.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.billmerrittfuneralservice.com for the Armstrong family.
