Funeral services for Faye Eppes will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at noon at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Pastor Leon Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Union Cemetery near Freestone.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Eppes passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco.

She was born in Trinity, Tx on September 16, 1929, the youngest of eleven children. Faye grew up in Freeport and married Harold Ray Eppes in 1948, and shared sixty-one years of marriage together before being separated by his death in 2009. She was a dedicated homemaker to her husband and family. Mrs. Eppes had a passion for sewing and enjoyed painting, baking, cooking, and doing floral designs. She was a social butterfly and was well known for her garage sales and famous for her, "How you doing sweetheart," phrase. Her greatest joy was doing things for others. Mrs. Eppes was a Christian believer and loved to sing and listen to Gospel music.

She is survived by three children, Katrina Thomas & husband Max of Euless, Harold "Turk" Eppes & wife Pam of Magnolia, and Gina Eppes Geisendorff & husband Bubba of Streetman; eight grandchildren, Joel Thomas & wife Julie, Meghann Thomas, Jakob Eppes & wife Nicole, RaCayle Harrison & husband Grant, Caitlyn Eppes, Brett Geisendorff, David Hayden & wife Ashley, and Ty Rowden; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Eppes was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ray Eppes; and her brothers and sisters.
