ABERCROMBIE, FLOYD RAY, 74, of Pleasant Grove, was born September 19, 1929, in Geneva County and died May 3, 2004, of Cancer.

Ray was a member of First Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove he was retired from Continental Can Company and was a Korean War Veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army. Ray was a very loving husband, father, Papa and brother. He was loved dearly by many friends and adored by his family. He will be deeply missed. His family takes comfort in the fact that he is with Our Heavenly Father now.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. from Brown Service West Chapel, with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Harold Newberry and Rev. Joe Godfrey will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5th from 5:00-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Survived by Wife, Martha Abercrombie of Pleasant Grove; Daughter, LaRae Henderson (Jerry) of Pleasant Grove; Son, Marty Abercrombie (Sherri) of Hoover; Five Grandchildren, Angel Gilbert (Kyle) of Dallas, Texas; Jerred and Chelsea Henderson of Pleasant Grove; Cory and Ben Abercrombie of Hoover; Sisters, Sue Sconyers of Coffee Springs, AL, Frances Newsome of Ft. Meade, FL, Hazel Ellison of Jacksonville, FL, Melba Jackson of Dothan, AL and JoAnn Wade of Enterprise, AL; and many nieces and nephews. Brown Service West Chapel Directing 744- 7666.
