HOWARD W. BAUSMAN, WELL-KNOWN BUSINESSMAN OF MIDDLETOWN, IS DEAD


Edward W. Bausman, aged 65, a life-long resident and prominent businessman of Middletown, died early this morning at the Harrisburg Hospital. He had been ill for some time with a complication of diseases, and went to the hospital two weeks ago for an operation.


The survivors are, a widow, one son, Arthur Bausman, of Harrisburg; three daughters, Mrs. perry Stipe, Mrs. J. A. Kling and Mrs. Lloyd Kramer, of Middletown; one brother, Harry Bausman, of the First Lock, near Royalton, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Taylor, of Middletown.


The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from his home on East Water street (sic), Middletown, at 2 p. m. The Rev. Fuller Bergstresser, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Middletown, will officiate. Burial will be made in Oberlin Cemetery.


Mr. Bausman has for many years been an active business man at Middletown. He was engaged in the cattle business and other lines. Recently he was a member of the milling firm of Brisner, Foltz and Bausman. He was also at one time engaged in the feed business, and was a member of the Middletown Market Company and other enterprises in that town.
