Thomas Throckmorton died early yesterday morning at the home of his son, on North Lawrence Avenue. The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home. Rev. A.A. Parker, at St Paul's M.E. Church, will be in charge.

Thomas Lee Throckmorton was born in Berkeley County, Virginia, Oct. 21, 1833. He came of a good old Quaker stock and he was raised a Quaker and continued his membership in that church until after his marriage, when he joined the Presbyterian church. This was about 36 years ago.

He came to Wichita in 1873 and since that time has taken an active interest in the upbuilding of the Peerless Princess from a hamlet to a city of importance, and throughout his whole active life has done much to aid Wichita.

Thomas Lee Throckmorton was a gentleman of the truest steel, a firm friend, a congenial companion, and a thoroughly religious man. From his long residence in the city Mr. Throckmorton was known to hundreds of people and to all he was the same unswerving, pleasant friend, and his death is one that concerns many.
