Frances V. Anderson, 99, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:05 A.M. at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born September 21, 1917 in Greenbush, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Ester (Hendricks) Ekstrom. She married Paul R. Anderson on August 10, 1935. He preceded her in death August 15, 1986.
Frances worked as a beautician for many years, including having her own shop in Williamsfield and as an instructor for the Young's Beauty School. She also worked very hard on the family farm, helping out with whatever needed done.
She is survived by her 3 children; Carole Love of Galesburg, Jan Anderson of Dahinda, Robert (and Vickie) Anderson of Williamsfield, 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband; Paul R. Anderson, parents; Ernest and Ester Ekstron, sister; Lorraine Hanson, and granddaughter; Lori Love.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Knoxville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be left to the family. The Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville is assisting the family.
