He leaves his six children, Pauline Amedio-Neville of Leominster, Debralee Hudson of Fitchburg, Patricia Daigle of Winchendon, Everett Racine of Leominster, Jeri-Lynn Enright of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mark Amedio of CA; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister Dolores Piragis of Athol and many cousins.
He was born in Athol on July 17, 1940 a son of the late Carlo and Rose (Bosco) Amedio. He graduated from Athol High School. He owned and operated several barber shops. His first was Barber's Crossing in Worcester, which he changed its name to Hair Smythe1, then Smythe 2 in Leominster and then Smythe 3 in Fitchburg. Prior to his retirement he worked for his nephew at Joey's Barber shop in Fitchburg. Where he was known as uncle Mike to everyone. He would even go to local nursing homes for his longtime customers.
Michael was a true Red Sox fan and also enjoyed the patriots, he also was an excellent dancer and Bocci player. He truly loved his family as they were the most important part of his life.
Funeral services for Michael and Beverly will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 12 Noon in the Stone Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, MA 01475. Calling hours will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am to 12 Noon at the time of the service. Burial military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
