Norma Jean (Hanlin) Dahlkemper, 90, of Erie, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022, at her daughter's residence. She was born on February 1, 1932, in Erie, PA, daughter of the late Edward F. and Clara M. (Hohman) Hanlin.

Norma Jean was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy, Class of 1950. She was employed at Joseph B. Dahlkemper for over 20 years and St. Mary's Home of Erie in the accounting department, retiring in 2004.

She was a member of the Summit Lions Club, Summit Senior Center, Siebenbuerger Club, Zukor Club, St. Matthew Church Choir and Eucharist Minister at St. Matthew Church and All Saints Parish. She enjoyed square dancing, crocheting, playing cards, and entering her afghans at the Waterford Fair, and her Club Girls for 50 years. She loved to travel all over the world and sang for Pope Paul in Rome in 2001.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul Leo Dahlkemper, Sr., they were married on July 12, 1952; son, Paul L. Dahlkemper, Jr. in 2010; sisters, Lois Dahlkemper and Claire Gredler and son-in-law, Joseph Gausman.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Niebauer (Martin) of Erie, Carolyn Monocello (Mark, Sr.) of Pittsburgh, Kathryn Lawrence (James) of Morgantown, WVA, and Jacklyn Gausman of Erie; son, Patrick Dahlkemper of Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law, Lori Dahlkemper of Mill Village; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Dahlkemper and Frank Gredler; sister-n-law, Barbara Schreiber; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street, at Greengarden Boulevard on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a funeral mass at All Saints Church, 11264 Route 97N, Waterford on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
