John, 46, of Brookeland, passed away at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was a 1979 graduate of Bishop Byrne High School. He was also a twenty seven year veteran of the law enforcement community serving as a Jefferson County Warrant Officer for seventeen years, SWAT team of Jefferson County for fourteen years, several years as team leader, and currently a Deputy Constable for Jefferson County.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Hilton Wolford and his daughter, Jessica Lynn Wolford.
Survivors include his wife Deana Wolford; Mother, Margaret "Peggy" Wolford; Sons, John Wolford Jr. and wife Melissa, Jake Hilton Wolford and Nathan David; Daughters, Jennifer Kay Jones, Justina Wolford, Maggie Elizabeth Wolford and Megan David; Brothers, Billy Wolford and Richard Wolford; Sister, Linda Dubose and one grandchild, Kadence Lynn Wolford.
