Vera M. Vanarsdale, 75, Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:13 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Kaydie's Assisted Living in Goodyear, Arizona.
Mrs. Vanarsdale was born April 13, 1946, in Columbus, the daughter of Rosemary Shroyer. Vera was raised by her grandparents, Carson and Mary Melvina Shroyer.
Vera retired from Kroger in 2011 after 23 years of service.
She was a member of Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of Red Hat Society in Phoenix.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Shroyer of Phoenix.
She is preceded in death by her mother and husband, Tom Vanarsdale.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Amy Linnemann and Tim Jarnagin officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.
