LUCY Kenneth G. "Jerry" Lucy, 58, of Emporia, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Linda Neal Lucy; son, Wade Lucy and wife, Wendy, of Emporia; daughter, Robin Moore and husband, Mike, of Margarettsville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Heather Lucy, Peyton Lucy, Brandon Johnson, Josh Johnson, Neal Lucy, Wyatt Moore and Kenley Moore; his mother, Kathleen Phillips Lucy of Wilson, N.C.; two sisters, Beverly Parker and husband, Raymond of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Debi Newsome of Wilson, N.C.; his mother-in-law, Jessie Neal; and very special friends, Claudia Matthews and Lil Bit. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Emporia Volunteer Fire Department.
