John Anderson died on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the Golden Living Center, Salem, SD. He had reached the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 22 days. John T. Anderson, son of Theodore and Gladys (Kinzley) Anderson was born September 11, 1922 on a farm near Montrose, SD. He grew up in the Montrose area and attended Montrose High School. He married Rosella Gudahl and later married Fern Bach on January 18, 1957 in Sioux Falls. He lived his entire life in the Montrose area where he farmed. His wife died in 2002. He had spent the past few years living in the Golden Living Center of Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Ruby and June, and a grandson, James Perez. He was a member of the Ramsey Baptist Church, had been a member of Cenex Board of Directors, and was a former member of the Brookfield Township Board. He loved farming, visiting with friends, bowling, fishing and hunting, listening to music, and playing horseshoes. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Judy), Lake Havasu City, AZ, Roger (Melodee), Grand Island, NE, and Ted (Karla), Montrose; daughters, Sharon (John) Perez, Sacramento, CA, Mariann (Charles) Oyen, Salem, Lorraine (Charles) Judstra, Sioux Falls, and Christine (Gerald) Van Emmerik, Red Lake Falls, MN; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Grace), Montrose and Elwood (Carol), Sioux Falls; and a sister, LaVonne (Clarence) Mader, Montrose.
