Herman Wendt, 73, a patient at the Maribel convalescent home in Cooperstown, was found dead in bed Sunday morning.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John Lutheran church Maribel, with burial in the church cemetery.
He was born in Germany in 1878 and came to Cooperstown when a young man. He engaged in farming with his brother, the late Henry Wendt. He never married.
Only survivor is a brother in South Dakota.
Friends may call at the Schwartz funeral home, Morrison, after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The casket will be moved to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
