WYOMING - Funeral services for Nial V. Paul, 73, were held May 29 at Hayden funeral home. The Rev. Lyle Meester and the Rev. Robert Christensen officiated. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery. The American Legion conducted graveside services. Mr. Paul died May 27 at Anamosa Community hospital. He was born Oct. 26, 1896 in Wyoming, the son of T. K. and Lizzie Tompkins Paul. He lived his entire life in Wyoming. He was married Nov. 29, 1942 to Aleta Peck. He was a World War I veteran and a 50-year member of the Wyoming American Legion. Surviving are his wife; one stepson, Howard Peck, Wyoming; one step-daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Scott, Maquoketa, and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
