PERRY, MARY S. - Mary S. Perry of Putnam Valley, died August 26, 2001 at Treetops at Mohegan Lake Nursing Home. She was 86.

Mrs. Perry was born June 18, 1915 in Buchanan, NY to Peter and Mary Laskai Deak. She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1933.

On September 29, 1934 she married Carlton R. Perry at the Peekskill Presbyterian Church. She worked as a sales clerk for F.W. Woolworth from 1951 to the mid 1970's. She has resided in Putnam Valley since 1977, and prior to that in Peekskill for over 30 years.

She was a member of the Putnam Valley Historical Society and the Putnam Valley Grange. She attended antique car shows with her husband and son, enjoyed cooking and was very devoted to her family. She was an excellent grandmother.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her husband, Carlton R. Perry of Putnam Valley, and her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Violet Perry of Carmel; two sisters, Yolanda Vanca of Fishkill and Edith Tomlins of Poughkeepsie; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Deak; three granddaughters, Michelle Perry, Debbie Moran and Kimberly (Sotiro) Perry-Schneider; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah Sotiro and Bo & Drew Moran.

She was predeceased by her parents, her step-mother, Pauline (Poli) Dienes Deak and a brother Frank Deak.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday at the E.O Curry Funeral Home, 313 No. James St., Peekskill where family will receive friends on Tuesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220 would be appreciated.
