Charlotte and James were married Jan. 25, 1881 in Story Co., Iowa. James worked as a farmer throughout his life, and Charlotte was a housewife and mother for their son, Frank. James died in 1933 in San Bernadeno, Calif., and was returned to Marshalltown for burial. Charlotte died in1937 at the Deconess Hospital in Marshaltown. She had been ill with a respiratory infection which resulted in lobar pneumonia causing her death within 6 days.
