Last Rites Held for August Gauger
August Gauger, 77, a native of Maribel, died early Sept. 27 at the Shady Lane Home at Manitowoc, where he had lived for more than two years.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2 pm at the Klein and Stangel Inc. Funeral Home at Two Rivers, the Rev. E.A. Barg of Manitowoc officiating. Burial was in the Rockwood Cemetery.
Born at Maribel, Sept. 16, 1878, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Gauger, he operated a farm near Rockwood for a number of years before moving to Two Rivers where he was employed at the Hamilton Manufacturing Co. He was married twice with both wives preceding him in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Krueger of Denmark and Mrs. Bertha Hanneman of Green Bay; a brother, Henry Gauger of Maribel and two stepdaughters.
