Herman Habeck, 86, a former Maribel resident, died Tuesday, January 20, at a Manitowoc hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel. The Rev. Karl Kuenzel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Habeck was born April 22, 1894, in the Town of Cooperstown, son of the late Carl and Marie Pautz Habeck. He married Corinna Sturm June 15, 1921, at Maribel and farmed in the Town of Cooperstown until retiring in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law, Wilbert and Norma Habeck of Manitowoc and Gerald and Yvonne Habeck of Route 1, Maribel; a daughter and son-in-law, Elda and Hugo Porr of Route 3, Green Bay; a brother, Henry Habeck of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Emil (Alma) Brandenburg of Route 1, DePere, and Mrs. Gustave (Irene) Kudick of Luxemburg, 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Fred Bubolz of Manitowoc. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 12 noon Friday until the time of service.
