HENRY PFINGSTEN
(1892 - 1963)

Henry Pfingsten, 71, of Denmark, took his life Monday morning at his home.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, the Rev. Armin Engel officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Maribel.

Mr. Pfingsten was born Oct 1, 1892, at Hanover, Germany, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Pfingsten. He came to the U.S. with his parents when he was seven months old and they settled at Watseka, Ill. He was a Denmark resident for the last 24 years and a farmer most of his life. He married Emma Habeck Sept. 14, 1921, at Maribel.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Norbert of Sheboygan Falls and Hugo at home; two brothers, Albert and Fred of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Ervin Gruetzmacher of Merrill; eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rites Held for Henry Pfingsten

Henry Pfingsten, 71, was found dead in his garage early Monday morning. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Knutson Funeral Home with the Rev. Arminn Engel officiating. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Maribel.

He was born in Hanover, Germany on October 1, 1892, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Pfingsten. The late family migrated to the United States when he was seven months old and they settled at Watseka, Ill. He was a Denmark resident for the last 24 years and a farmer most of his life. He married the former Emma Habeck on September 14, 1921 in Maribel.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Norbert, Sheboygan Falls, Hugo at home; two brothers, Albert and Fred of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Ervin Gruetzmacher, Merrill; eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Habeck-Pfingsten
At St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Maribel at 3 o'clock this afternoon, the Rev. P.J. Kionka officiating at the ceremony, Miss Emma Habeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Habek of that village, and Henry Pfingsten of Merrill were married. Miss Beata Habeck and Arthur Habeck, Miss Alma Habeck and Albert Pfingsten, Miss Amanda Schmook and Albert Habeck were the attending couples. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents where 160 guests were present at the 6 o'clock dinner and midnight supper. The couple will go to Merrill where they will make their home on a farm owned by the bridegroom.
