His siblings were; Loretta "Grosso" Shaffer and brother Ernest "Babe" Grosso. Vincent married Charlotte McEntee on February 11, 1942, and had three children; Vincent Jr, Jill and Debra Grosso. He also had another daughter, Loretta "Grosso" Bledsoe. He was predeceased by both Loretta and Jill.
