Mary E. McCarty was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Lizzie) "Roantree" McCarty. She was believed to be born in VA. She married William A. McEntee in 1914 in Philadelphia, PA. They had five children together, George, Evelyn, Charlotte, Thelma and Claire. Mary also had 5 stepchildren. She later married James Courduff.
Mary "Mame" loved all music and enjoyed singing whenever she could. She loved animals. And when she lived in the Wildwood Villas, she would often rescue cats.
She passed away at her daughter Charlotte Grosso's home in Folsom, PA, while suffering a very brief cold.
She worked at the 1400 Walnut Street Building in Philadelphia, PA and also worked at the Forest Theater in Philadelphia, where she got to see all of the stars of the day.
