Marlene M. Willham, 81 years old, born Marlene M. Mehalko in Cleveland on February 7, 1941 left this world on April 12, 2022 with yellow and blue bracelets on made by friends of hers at her Asst. Living Residence in support of the people of Ukraine. She is mother to Denise M. Kaminski (Ed), grandmother to Rick Corwon (Shannon) and Lisa Corwon; great-grandmother (Grammalene & Nana) to Carter & Sam Corwon, Isabel, Zach, Nate & Alex Butkowski. She leaves behind older brother Kenneth Mehalko (Beverly), nephew Scott Mehalko (Candance) and niece Kerry Sheppard (Michael) along with great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Willham, her parents Blanche & George Mehalko and close companion for many years, Michael Hrehocik. As a child, growing up in Cleveland she enjoyed playing the piano, singing, dancing & acting and was very proud of her Czech heritage. Early on she worked as a secretary for trucking companies, and then devoted the latter part of her working career to public service at the Cuyahoga Board of Elections and Welfare Department in Cleveland. She will be remembered by her friends and acquaintances for her fancy hairdos, shopping and great clothing; love of animals, theatre, classical music, joking around, and socializing with people always asking, "What Nationality are you?" when striking up a conversation and getting to know someone. Calling hours will be held at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd. Strongsville, OH 44136 on Friday April 15, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and burial after at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted, OH 44070. In lieu of flowers, please donate to World Central Kitchen Donor Services, 200 Massachusetts Ave. N.W. 7th Floor, Washington D.C. 20001 to support and feed the children and families of Ukraine.
