Loren Miller Adams, son of Herbert D. and Edna A. (Miller) Adams, and his wife Hattie Tinnie Hunt moved to Bernardston, Massachusetts in 1927 where they lived for 44 years and also celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They first resided on South Street in a home on the site of the present Quinlan home, destroyed by fire a year later. On Thanksgiving, 1952, Loren and Hattie moved to their newly constructed home built with the assistance of contractor C.E. Fitzherbert of Bernardston called the Quinlan home. Portions of the Adams Quinlan home exist within the restaurant structure of what is now called the "Farm Table" located at 219 South Street in Bernardston. Both the "Farm Table and associated shopping area are located on land owned by Loren and Hattie. Loren retired after 36 years as a toolmaker employed by the Millers Falls Company located in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
