Mr. James Calvin Howe, 79, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Marwood Nursing and Rehab.
He was born June 5, 1928 in Port Huron to the late George and Catherine Howe.
He married Alice Reilly on June 22, 1950 in Port Huron.

Mr. Howe was a supervisor with Port Huron Paper Company for 40 years and after retiring he worked at Black River Country Club for 10 years. He was a 55-year member of Grace Episcopal Church and a 1946 graduate of Port Huron High School.
He was an avid hunter and car enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice; three daughters, Pamela (Robert) O'Briant of Flint, Deborah (Mark) McDougal and Lynette (Stephen) Brush, all of Port Huron; a daughter-in-law, Mary Howe; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews, including Jim, Phil and David Buckeridge and Jim and Alan Richards.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Howe; grandson, Jeremiah O'Briant; brother, George Howe; and four sisters, Thelma Richards, Mildred Smith, Helen Hornby and Leona Buckeridge.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Robert Trask of Grace Episcopal Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
