Maggie May was the daughter of Sarah C. Dobbs & Calvin D. Boothe

Hunt County, Texas: In the 1900 & 1910 census Maggie is living with her parents and siblings. Her farther dies in 1916. The 1920 census list Maggie (22) working as a Telephone Operator, living with her mother and siblings. The 1930 census list Maggie (32) working as a Nurse for a private family, living with her mother and brother Calvin.

Maggie married Joseph T. Martin on 15 Jun 1930 in Texas; they had at least one son. Maggie died (on the same day her son E. M. was born) of a heart attack in confinement, forced delivery on 18 November 1935 at the age of 38. I find it sad that her husband didn't know her date of birth or the name of her parents on the death certificate.

Rest In Peace Maggie May
