Valentine H. Bahn, who was chattel mortgage clerk at the County Clerk's office for 18 years, died at 9 p.m. yesterday at his home in Liverpool, aged 47 years. Mr. Bahn was born at Liverpool on July 16, 1859 and had always lived there. He was obliged to resign his position at the County Clerk's office on Jan. 1 because of ill health. Besides his widow, he leaves two sons, Harry and Arthur. There are also four brothers and one sister, the Rev. Philip E. Bahn of Oneida, Jacob and Adam Bahn of Solvay, John J. Bahn of Liverpool and Mrs. John Beyer of Liverpool. He was a member of Liverpool Lodge, F. and A.M. He married Katherine J. Schallus on October 8, 1890. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from his late home and at 3:30 p.m. from the Liverpool M.E. Church. The Masons will conduct services.
